Long case Clock, France, c.1820.

This oak cased grandfather clock is from the Normandy area of France. This style is sometimes referred to as a “Mademoiselle” clock, indicating the thin case, and elaborate ‘coiffure’ top. The movement is a Morbier, and the enamel dial appears to be original, with some bruising. On the dial is painted the maker or seller: “Dumouchel” and his location “à St. Saëns”.

8’ tall.
19” widest.
