Oil Painting, American, c.1900.
An original oil painting on wooden board of a scene along a riverbank
in the impressionistic style. In the original frame. The back shows that the
painting board has been cradled to prevent warping. This cradling was done
at a later date, implying the value of the work of art. Signed on the back
R. B. Farley, and titled Fall at S----- River, Me. The writing in pencil
is under the cradling, so the name of the river is partially covered.
23 x 16.5 overall.
