Sabino Art Glass Ink Blotter, France, c.1920, France, c.1920.

A hard to find piece of early Sabino, in perfect condition. Sabino and Lalique started out as partners, with each eventually going their own way. Sabino stayed with the opalescent colored glass, which he achieved by mixing in slight amounts of gold. Sabino was one of the premier artists of the Art Deco period, and like Lalique, is still in business today. He is known for his birds, fish, animals, and figurines. I think the few blotters he made were primarily gifts to his dealers.

6 x 3 x 2 high.
