Imari Charger, 19th century, Japan.

An unusual design for Imari, using some atypical colors. Imari often was decorated to the taste of the country that it was destined for. I purchased this one in England. The underside is characteristic, with the exception of what appears to be an impressed chop mark, note the sky lighted photo. No color was used on the mark, so it can’t be read.

14 ¼” diameter.
